Required Evidence

Develop Prompt/Topic

Develop a prompt (topic/question) for a person you will interview for your video. If possible, provide the prompt in advance to the interviewee. Alternatively, decide what kind of video footage you want to capture. Evidence: Type "done" and submit when complete. More Info

Plan and Rehearse

Plan your video recording and rehearse it. If possible: - Find a quiet location to record. - Use an iPad clamp and tripod to stabilize the image - Avoid backlighting - Record very close to your subject, allowing their face to fill the frame. Evidence: Type "done" and submit when complete. More Info

Record

Record each segment of your video using the iPad camera app, or transfer video clips to your iPad using AirDrop. Be sure to record in LANDSCAPE (not PORTRAIT) mode! Evidence: Type "done" and submit when complete. More Info

Edit Clips

Insert each video clip for your project (in order) into the iMovie for iPad app. Trim clips as desired, add textual annotations, adjust clip volume levels, and customize transitions. Add voice narration, or special effects like Picture-in-Picture, Cutaway or split screen. Evidence: Type DONE. More Info

Upload Online

Upload your video to a SeeSaw classroom or YouTube (using the YouTube app). Be aware SeeSaw limits hosted videos to 5 minutes or 500 MB in size. Upload longer videos to YouTube and then share the link in SeeSaw to get around this limitation if needed. Evidence: Type "done" and submit when complete. More Info

Share with Others

Share the link to your video with others. Email it to others, text the link, post to Twitter with the hashtag #ipadmediacamp, or post on Facebook. Evidence: Copy and paste the link here. More Info
