XTreme Reading Summary

I was impressed by the organization of the Xtreme Reading Program and the very important fact that it is based on validated research with struggling readers.  Including the SIMs for direct, explicit instruction (Xpect to Achieve, Talking Together, and Score) creates a successful and trusting learning environment.by creating more independent learners.   This program includes comprehension (YEA!).  If I would return to the classroom, I would make a case for including this as my supplemental instruction for reading and to work with co-teachers to ensure generalization is occurring.
